Delaine joined Weston Geophysical in June 1998 after working for the company as a consultant for a year. She has led research in several areas at Weston, including the development of 3D velocity models of the Earth's crust and upper mantle, improved seismic focal depth estimation, and event location at the regional and microseismic scales.

Delaine received her Ph.D. in geophysics in 1993 from MIT and a B.S. in applied mathematics in 1986 from the Colorado School of Mines.
