Katherine joined Weston Geophysical in the fall of 2006. Her current projects include determining local and regional coda magnitudes, and source scaling using coda-derived spectra. She has also been involved in moment tensor calculations for the Frozen Rock Experiment explosions.

She received a B.S. in Geosciences and a B.A in Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX. She previously worked at Southwest Research Institute, Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses, on geological issues related to the potential Yucca Mountain High-Level Nuclear Waste Repository. She received a M.A. in Seismology from Boston University in 2006. For her master's thesis, she performed body wave modeling and source parameter analysis for the 2004 Mw8.1 Macquarie earthquake.
